Funerals
Funerals require a lot of sensitivity over a very short period of time. You will find that this is one of my strengths.
I am prepared and able to make myself totally available to you for the concentrated preparation period.
I encourage a feeling of celebration of a life rather than an emphasis on sorrow, while also recognising that this is indeed a very sad time for the family.
Child naming
These days many parents do not have an allegiance to a church and do not want to promise to bring the child up in a particular faith.
At the same time, they want a ceremony that in a sense is a welcome to the child and a celebration of the names chosen. I have plenty of ideas for you and can deliver a really nice ceremony for you, your friends and family.
Renewal of vows
Many couples like to mark the passing of significant milestones in their marriage – for example the first year, or decade markers. They want to re commit themselves to each other and express confidence in the bond that exists between them. I can help you with that.
A house blessing
A house blessing is particularly important for certain cultures. It is often conducted by a priest, which leaves people without a religious affiliation, searching for something which marks their occupation of a new home. It is quite possible to do this in a way that will meet that wish.
Gay and lesbian marriages and civil unions
There is now a lot of scope for creativity around such unions and again, I can start you off with plenty of ideas, or construct a suitable ceremony for you. I would love to join you in creating a ceremony that reflected your love.
Ceremonies with a religious element
Many couples these days do not belong to a formal church but at the same time acknowledge the presence of a “guiding hand” of some sort. They do not want a religious ceremony, but would like a religious component either on their own behalf, or for the comfort of family.
